Take your French skills to the next level with our French A1.3 Foundational French (Part 3) course. Designed specifically for students in the Abbotsford and Fraser Valley area, this course bridges the gap between basic phrases and functional, everyday conversation.

Whether you’re looking to share stories at a family gathering or organize your professional calendar in a Francophone environment, this 8-week intensive at Your French Learning Centre (YFLC) provides the structure and support you need to succeed.


Course Overview

  • Target Audience: Adult learners who have completed A1 Part 2 or equivalent.

  • Duration: 8 Weeks

  • Format: Twice-weekly sessions for maximum retention.

  • Location: In-person in Abbotsford, BC.


Curriculum

In Part 3, we move into the practical “doing” of the language, focusing on social integration and daily life. This course covers:

  • Discussing  family and events
  • Reactions to family announcements
  • Understand, reacting appropriately,  inquiring, and giving information about a person
  • Conveying Time and schedule  information
  • Expressing an obligation
  • Describing your daily activities and schedule
  • Proposing, accepting/ refusing invitations
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Discussing future plans and past events

Certification & Exams

We believe in measurable progress. At the end of this course, students have the opportunity to validate their skills through two recognized pathways:

  • DELF A1 Exam: An internationally recognized diploma. This exam is not offered by YFLC but by an external provider. (Success requires a minimum total of 50/100, with 5/25 in all sections).

  • YFLC Mastery Exam: Our internal high-standard certification. (Success requires a minimum total of 65/100, with 7/25 in all sections).

Note: While a cumulative exam is strongly recommended to ensure you are ready for Level A2, it is not a mandatory requirement to advance.

Prerequisite: Completion of A1 Foundational French Part 2 or proof of equivalent knowledge.
