Description

Take your French skills to the next level with our French A1.2 Foundational French (Part 2) course. Designed specifically for students in the Abbotsford and Fraser Valley area, this course bridges the gap between basic phrases and functional, everyday conversation.

Whether you’re looking to navigate a Parisian bistro or describe your neighborhood to a new friend, this 5-week intensive at Your French Learning Center (YFLC) provides the structure and support you need to succeed.

Course Overview

  • Target Audience: Adult learners who have completed A1 Part 1 or equivalent.

  • Duration: 5 Weeks

  • Format: Twice-weekly sessions for maximum retention.

  • Location: In-person in Abbotsford, BC.

What You Will Master

In Part 2, we move into the practical “doing” of the language. You will learn to:

  • Dining & Food: Confidently read menus, manage restaurant experiences, and shop for groceries.

  • Description: Identify and describe people, objects, and your surroundings.

  • City Life: Navigate public transportation, describe neighborhoods, and give/ask for directions like a local.

Certification & Exams

We believe in measurable progress. At the end of this course, students have the opportunity to validate their skills through two recognized pathways:

  1. DELF A1 Exam: An internationally recognized diploma. This exam is not offered by YFLC but by an external provider.  (Success requires a minimum total of 50/100, with 5/25 in all sections).

  2. YFLC Mastery Exam: Our internal high-standard certification. (Success requires a minimum total of 65/100, with 7/25 in all sections).

Note: While a cumulative exam is strongly recommended to ensure you are ready for Level A2, it is not a mandatory requirement to advance.
